Thanks all I actually did call out this girl on her “Tale Worlds” and her response was totally insane, as expected. Insisting that I’m violating my website privacy policy by calling her out by name (our policy is we do not share/rent/sell customer information, she isn’t a customer) and that since she stole my image for “personal use” there wasn’t a problem. Even though I already explained what the problem with that was. *sigh* I guess it was too much to hope that someone who’d do something like this could see the error of their ways.

Pretty effing lame I’d say. It’s happened to me a few times. Each time came with a cease and desist order (luckily my wife is an attorney and can help me with this things). Shortly there after the bootleg is pulled down but who knows how many were sold before I noticed it.

There’s a bunch of horror stories like this on gigposters.com where people will take a digital image from their site, print it, and then try and pass it off as the original and sell it on ebay.

It kind of goes to show that the public at large is not educated on intellectual property in this “I want it now for free” culture we live in.
