Thirsty Thursday: Cocktails Fresh From Your Herb Garden

Got a little summer herb garden going? Drink in the season with these cocktails, all calling for fresh herbs:

If you’ve got mint…
While mojitos are the go-to use for mint, I love this blonde sangria recipe. It’s a great way to use up some mint and your white wine! (I’m not crazy about white wine, but a good white sangria can make even the dullest Chardonnay a great summer drink.)

If you’ve got thyme…
This gin thyme lemonade is a great way to use up that Thyme for more than just a pasta sauce. Awesomely refreshing on a hot summer day!

If you’ve got basil…
Basil is terrific in so many drinks, but I really love this basil blueberry vodka soda. It also works nicely with blackberry or raspberry.

If you’ve got cilantro…
While it’s not the most common cocktail ingredient, I love this idea for making use of cilantro — the cilantro lime tequila spritzer with jalapeno slices. Even better, it’s a great way to use jalapenos you might be growing too.
