I did CPR for my cat after he got stuck in a wall and we had to cut through to get him out - he'd fallen in such a way that he suffocated because of his position. I still grieve in small ways almost every day, and the guilt is always there that we didn't get him out soon enough. It'll take some time, but it will get better. You did everything right, and tried your best. Unfortunately, our best furry friends are very fragile, and sometimes even moving mountains isn't enough. It’s always so hard when you do everything you can, and it’s still not enough.
